SEASONAL VACCINE
Human influenza epidemics are caused by the A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and the B influenza virus strains. After an incubation period of 1-2 days, the droplet virus can cause high fever, muscle pain, malaise, and sore throat, with complications such as bacterial and/or viral pneumonia.
Immunization offers a most effective way of protection against seasonal influenza infection and disease. Our company produces the 3Fluart suspension injection against seasonal influenza on an annual basis. The substance contains 6µg hemagglutinin per A/H1N1, A/H3N2 and B virus strain. The composition of the vaccine is based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the northern hemisphere, established on the viruses most frequently identified in the previous influenza seasons.
3Fluart suspension injection (whole virion, inactivated, adjuvanted Composition of 1 dose (0.5ml) vaccine:
The vaccine is inactivated by formaldehyde and contains a whole virion* with the following antigen composition:
{A/(H1N1) WHO recommended strain} 6µg HA**
{A/(H3N2) WHO recommended strain} 6µg HA**
{B/ WHO recommended strain} 6µg HA**

- Excipients: Aluminum-Chloride-hexahydrate, trisodium-phosphate-dodecahydrate, potassium-chloride, thiomersal, disodium-hydrogen-phosphate-dihydrate,
potassium-dihydrogen-phosphate, sodium-chloride, water for injection. - Adjuvant: aluminum-phosphate gel (max. 0.625milligramm Al3+)
- Aluminum-content: max. 0.625milligramm Al3+ /0.5 ml
- Thiomersal-content: max. 53microgramm /0.5 ml
- 1 dose max. 1µg ovalbumin, 0.5µg gentamicin, neomicin, vancomicin and ciprofloxacin.

PANDEMIC VACCINE
Apart from the seasonal influenza epidemics, the influenza virus might also cause pandemics against which seasonal influenza vaccines do not provide protection. Our Company is the only one in Hungary to produce the so-called pandemic influenza vaccine that contains the pandemic virus. The vaccine composition is based on the pandemic recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Union.
